HELLO,JAMMIN'JUNGLE JIM,I KNOW THIS IS OFF TOPIC FROM YOUR POST,BUT I RECALL YOU REFERRING TO YOUR OWNERSHIP OF THE STANLEY SCREAMERS THAT CONSIST OF THE TWO 604-HPLN DUPLEX SPEAKERS AND ONE MANTARAY 1.4 HORN/DRIVER IN EACH ENCLOUSURE.I OWN FOUR OF THESE IDENTICAL SYSTEMS AND WOULD SOLICIT YOUR OPINION AND EXPERIENCE OF THESE SYSTEMS IN COMPARISON TO THE CURRENT CROP OF FULL RANGE BOX SYSTEMS,LINE ARRAY SYSTEMS,ONE BOX DOES IT ALL,ETC.,ALL THE WHILE DISCOUNTING THE SUB WOOFER ASPECTS OF SAID SCREAMERS DUE TO BOX SIZE,CONE AREA/SUSPENSION AND BASS REFLEX PROPERTIES.I WOULD CONSIDER INCREASING MY INVENTORY OF THESE SCREAMER'S IF IT WOULD NOT BE A EFFORT WITH NEGLIGIBLE BENEFIT.I AM ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE TO JAMMIN' JUNGLE JIM DUE TO THE FACT THAT I DO NOT RECALL ANY OTHER FORUM PARTICIPANTS ENGAGING IN ANY DIALOUGE IN THIS REGARD.ANY AND ALL INFO,OPINIONS,OR COMMENTS ARE GENEROUSLY WELCOMED.

    Hi OLEPUSS

I'm not a good one to ask about a comparison, I'm not quailified because I haven't heard enough of the other systems. I've heard SS-3210-R's (like mine) used in a very large country night club. They sounded great.

I had two three way crossovers built for my SS-3210'S, I don't think to much of them, (the crossovers). I've never tri-amped the Stanley Screamers but, I'm sure if I had, they'd sound a lot better than using the cheesy passive XO's. Of course subs would be good if you wanted full frequency. Stan Miller (Stanal Sound and Stanly Screams) last used my 3210's pair for the Pointer Sisters as side fills.

FYI, I built two identical cabinets to use as subs. The subs were loaded with one Altec 3184 woofers in each cab. I made the subs with removable baffle boards so the basic box could be used with other speakers and porting. I added mass inside the box so the boxes would have the exact internal volume as the Altec 8184 system. I made the subs to match the SS cabs, they are finished with the exact same long strand shot fiberglass and have the same handles on the sides (except, without the Altec name inserts). There are four cabs that look alike but two of them are subs. If you are interested in buying mine, be aware, they aren't going to be cheap. And, I wouldn't be selling the 3184's with the sub cabs. They are available sometimes on fee pay or you can buy them new from GPA. The subs cost me about $600 to build (not counting labor).

I will post two pictures for others to see what we are talking about. The pair in the picture are not mine, I just copied a picture so I'd have one.

Let me know if you are seriously interested in buying either the SS-3210-R's or all four bins (loaded or empty).

hello jammin jungle jim, thanks for replying to my inquiry in regards to the stanley screamers.i have triamped the four systems that i have and they really kicked out the sound.i appreciate your offer to sell your screamers, but i think the cost plus shipping across country would be more than i would want to endure.regarding increasing my inventory of said screamer type cabinet/systems if this would be a competitve endeavor,i would do as you did and build my own cabinets.i have the necessary components/shop equipment to undertake the task, but i am not sure about the motivation to jump right in.thanks, olepuss

OLEPUSS... I didtn't make the two three way Stanley Screamers. They are original Stanley Screamers I bought directly from Stan Miller himself. I made two sub woofers to match the Stanley Screamers.
Make your own. Shipping is getting to be a real problem.
